Welcome to my website!
My name is Kim, and I have been a self employed Personal Assistant for 8 years.
My journey working in care began in 2007 when I started working at the RNIB College as a support worker for the visually impaired. I very much enjoyed the work, meeting new people and helping to make a difference to people's lives.
In 2011 I decided to widen my experience and began working in several care homes, and working with a variety of different needs including Dementia Care, Learning Disabilities/ Autism and mental health. These were very enjoyable and rewarding roles that gave me the chance to help and support people that need it.
In 2014 I wanted to have the chance to work 1 to 1 with people so that I could build a good working relationship up and to deliver care that I felt worked, so to achieve this I applied to work as a Personal Assistant for a local company 'Enrych'
I very soon realised that working as a Personal Assistant was just what I was looking for, as it allowed me to build up that working relationship that I feel is important in care.
Two years later in 2016 I was offered the opportunity to work with somebody on a self employed basis. So I got myself set up and have been doing this since and have never looked back.
In my spare time I am often at my holiday flat in Northumberland with my husband Nick, where we enjoy walking the Northumberland hills, exploring the local beaches and using our memberships at the local health club.
My husband Nick is also a self employed PA and you can find the link to his website below.
